Pickleball paddles consist of fiberglass honeycomb sandwich panels. The outer layer uses fiberglass sheets, while the core features a hexagonal honeycomb structure made from extruded polypropylene. This design allows the face sheets to provide bending stiffness, while the honeycomb core offers shear stiffness, resulting in a strong and lightweight paddle.

FR4 Fiberglass Honeycomb Panel Pickleball Paddles

FR-4, one of the commonly used substrates for PCB, is the code for a flame-resistant material grade. It means that the resin material must be able to self-extinguish after burning.
After repeated trials and data comparison, we controlled the hole size of the honeycomb core to a range that is most suitable for pickleball sports. The high hardness of the fiberglass sheet matches with high-quality PP honeycomb core can achieve the best impact resistance and slap resistance.

More Flame-resistant and Better Thermal Stability

Compared with FRP materials, FR4 epoxy resin as the pickleball racket skin will be more flame-resistant. It will not wear due to high temperature or long-term friction of the racket and has better thermal and structural stability.

    Smoother Surface

Epoxy resin is a fiberglass fabric with a gel coat added. The fiberglass arrangement is more regular inside and the sheet surface is smoother. It can be lighter and thinner while maintaining excellent toughness.

    Better Corrosion Resistance

FR4 glass fiber has good corrosion resistance to many chemical solvents and highly corrosive substances. During the actual use of the pickleball racket, there is no need to worry about damage to the racket, and its service life will be longer.

    Features

    • Lightweight and high strength
    • Excellent surface flatness and stiffness
    • Waterproof and moisture-proof
    • Sound-absorbing. Glass fiber and carbon fiber are both high-quality sound-absorbing materials.
    • Excellent elasticity
    • Environmentally friendly and odorless
    • Controllable surface friction
    • The surface material has a close affinity with the ink, resulting in excellent printing results, firmness and reliability. According to the collision mechanics trajectory of the pickleball, the texture is designed to give reasonable friction to the surface of the pickleball racket. We can use 3D printing to print out appropriate three-dimensional dimensions to facilitate ball control and achieve ideal sports effects.
