High Pressure Laminate (HPL), also known as refractory board, is a high-pressure decorative board. It is made of decorative colored paper and multi-layer kraft paper laminated, and then pressed by high temperature (150℃) and high pressure (1430ps). HPL is mainly used as veneer decoration, with rich surface colors, textures and special physical properties.

Advantages of HPL

  • Alta resistência: HPL is laminated under high temperature and high pressure, and the entire panel is very tight. It is one of the representatives of new high-density and high-strength materials.
  • Fireproof: HPL is a B1 grade fireproof material with good flame retardant effect. It is difficult to catch fire when exposed to open flames or high temperatures in the air. It is not easy to spread quickly, and the burning will stop immediately when the fire source is removed. This greatly makes up for the inherent shortcomings of hardwood.
  • Waterproof and moisture-proof: Resin and kraft paper are well thermally fused, making the entire panel extremely low in water absorption. HPL is not easily affected by moisture or mildew, and has the same structural stability as hardwood.
  • Wear-resistant and scratch-resistant: The outermost layer of this type of board is a covering paper, which helps to improve the wear-resistance and scratch-resistance of HPL.
  • Easy-to-clean: HPL has a smooth surface, difficult to adhere to dirt, easy to clean, and very convenient for repair and maintenance.

Áreas de aplicação

In order to meet the veneer needs of various indoor areas, the thickness of HPL boards is generally relatively thin, with the conventional thickness being only about 1mm. It can be mainly used for interior decoration of walls, ceilings, cabinets, countertops, furniture and other veneers.
In addition, we can also customize thickened HPL boards of 3mm-25mm for you, which can be used as wall panels or partition boards and can be installed independently indoors.
